SideKick ’Shooting’ Clinic
Dates: August 1-5 Time: 9:00-11:00 Location: SRMS This program is an intense, repetition oriented shooting program that will not let the players leave until they have acquired a technical ‘perfect’ shot. The ratio of 1 coach for each groups of 6 maximum (1:6) will allow coaches to focus on the details, define and help the players solve the problems. The coaching staff will use the 6 Step process to a perfect shot. Approximately 30 minutes of homework will be given out to the players to fulfill through the week. All players will receive a ball, t-shirt and shorts. Competitive Camp U8-U14 8:30-12:00 Tiger Hollow $200/player August 8-12, 2022 U8-U14 8:30-12:00 Tiger Hollow $200/player August 15-19, 2022 The curriculum and the intensity of the Program demand that all players are familiar and are able to compete within either the Academy execution or Travel 'Competitive' environments. This camp is about scoring goals! Learning the attacking skills necessary to give your self and your team the edge. Allowing the player to learn from mistakes by giving positive feedback and instilling confidence in ability. We will give you the opportunity to take 1000 shots. Team Excel Soccer Camp is focused on finishing of all types. Power & placement shooting, headers, volleys, toe pokes, combination play to create space, penalty kicks, corner kicks and more! We focus on technical preparation and then apply it to a tactical situation. Creating a functional training environment that recreates the pressure of the game. Scoring goals is the final element to a game with many elements. Chances are rare and it is the player that can take those precious chances and put the ball in the net that can make a difference in a game. No matter what has happened during a game it all comes down to who scores the most. A week at Team Excel Soccer Camp is a week of confidence building and success at proper execution when shooting at goal. Every player can score hundreds of goals. Every player gains a new sense of what is possible. • All participants will receive a ball, T-shirt & shorts. (Additional camp T-shirts can be purchased on site at $10 each.) • Participants receive 1 appropriate size soccer ball for Summer Camps SPRING CAMP Dates: April 11-15, Monday - Friday Time: 9:00-12:30 Location: Scotts Ridge Middle School turf field, Ridgefield Cost: $200/camper Ages: Boys and Girls, 5 - 15 years The environment within this camp program is dynamic, fun-filled and provides an age appropriate challenging mix of training and scrimmaging. Get ahead of the competition by training at your local Team Excel Soccer Camp during your spring break! Groupings: Players will be appropriately grouped within the levels of SCOR House, Academy or Travel Program they are currently registered for. They will learn and improve their skills and tactical awareness each day by staff demonstrations, practicing and playing. Each day ends with small-sided scerimmages. Camp Schedule: Learn By Watching Staff Demonstrations: A key element of the camp philosophy is giving participants an opportunity to observe staff members demonstrating the skills to be taught in that session. The initial ten minutes of each session will include this important learning experience. Learn By Practicing: The bulk of each session is occupied by skill development, allowing campers to participate under the direction of staff members. Fundamentals, as well as tactics, are emphasized through activities, small sided games and individual instruction. Learn By Playing: Campers are organized into teams and encouraged to apply their skills and tactics in a game situation supervised by staff members. This is the culmination of the "watch, practice, play" coaching method. "4vs4 Games" INTRODUCTION Small-sided games have been part of our soccer history in the United States for generations. Many of our parents, our grandparents and our great grandparents immigrated to America having played this wonderful game in the streets of their native countries. In the past it was not uncommon for small-sided games to be played in the streets and in vacant lots. Now the streets are too busy and the vacant lot is too dangerous or no longer exists. Thus, it has become the responsibility of the soccer club or youth organization to recreate the small-sided environment. That is what SCOR has provided with the "4vs4 Games"! Age Groups: Boys / 2nd & 3rd Graders (fall 2022) Boys / 4th & 5th Graders (fall 2022) Girls / 2nd & 3rd Graders (fall 2022) Girls / 4th & 5th Graders (fall 2022) Days: Tuesday and Thursdays Dates: June 21 through July 28, 2022 Times: 5:00-6:30pm Program Fee: $175/Player Location: Diniz field Description: Participants receive a Program T-shirt. Players will be introduced to one ball skill every week at the beginning of each session and encouraged to experiment freely during games. Games will be played in a 4vs4 format with 20 minute quarters. Attending pro coaches will supervise and provide minimal instruction. Our hope is that the players enjoy the real game of soccer in it's most natural and fun form. REASONS FOR SMALL SIDED PLAY Philosophical 1. We want our young soccer players to have more individual teaching from the game itself! Fewer players on the field will guarantee this! 2. We want our soccer players to enjoy the game for its own sake.
