Professional coaches with experience in developing players and a genuine interest in kids will provide an experience they will never forget. In addition to our pros we have our dedicated high school and college aged stand-out soccer players assisting.
The focus of our camp is to be able to give your kids an opportunity to improve their ball skills, passing and shooting skills in a fun and player friendly environment. To guarantee success our camp coaches will adjust program curriculum based on players' abilities and insight to game. All players will complete camp as a better player!.
I believe that our youth player's development is improved upon primarily when one is having fun. No matter what level one is at if one isn't having fun then it is just a matter of time before one drops out. I have seen it happen too many times and so I really want to provide our participants an environment that allows them to feel free to 'play' and experiment in the game of soccer. Some of the activities will need direction and instruction and other activities at camp will have hidden technical and tactical implications towards the game. But all activities will benefit the player's development as a player especially as it relates to one's passing and shooting abilities.
Our instructors know how to teach players and kids. They will show enthusiasm and encouragement towards all our campers and work towards developing the player's enthusiasm and passion towards the game of soccer.
Our younger campers will be exposed to a lot of fun games with hidden emphasis on improvement in fundamental ball and shooting skills. The older players will also enjoy fun games, individual technical activities and in addition be challenged to gain insight to the game of soccer through topic driven small game activities.
When and Where do we check in?
CHECK-IN on Monday, 7:45-8:20, is at Tiger Hollow Stadium entrance.
What to have ready at Check-in?
Check-in on the 1st day is between 7:45am and 8:20am on location. At check-in we will provide your child's free camp t-shirt and soccer ball. After checking in, the parent/guardian will escort their child onto the field to the assigned group coach. We hope to start camp promptly at 8:40 after a short welcome and introduction.
What happens at Check-out?
Camp runs from 8:30-12noon. At conclusion of camp, groups will be ushered into one large group on field. Participants will be asked to stay seated in a group until they see their parent or guardian approaching the group. We will not allow players to leave the group and meet their parent/guardian at the parking lot. We kindly ask for prompt pick-up but be assured that we will stay with the child(ren) until they are picked up.
What should your child bring to camp?
Soccer shorts, socks (every participant receives a camp t-shirt and soccer ball), shin pads, rain jacket (in case of drizzle), soccer cleats, sneakers, extra water bottle, suntan lotion and fruit snack. We suggest to have all items labeled and contained in a sports bag. We will provide permanent markers and white tape for labeling purposes.
IMPORTANT!
Participants are encouraged to wear the camp t-shirt and bring the camp soccer ball to every session. Additional t-shirts can be purchased on location if available at $8 each.
Camp will start promptly at 8:30am, Tuesday through Friday. We would greatly appreciate it if players could be ready to go at 8:30am. As a small incentive to get to camp on time we will have a raffle promptly at 8:30 and give away 3 to 4 small prizes every day. We Thank you in advance.
When does my child have a snack break?
As in past years we will be offering a break from 10:30 until 11:00 for the players to properly hydrate and relax. We encourage players to have a very light snack and a lot of fluids as part of their break but we would appreciate it if players did not bring a large 'lunch' or anything that will keep them from feeling too full to get back into the remaining hour of soccer. In addition, due to the various allergies that players might have we discourage players from sharing their snacks. The goal is to have them relax and hydrate during the official 30 minute break. To assure a safe environment all participants will have access to fresh water throughout all their activities.
What happens when it rains?
Camp sessions will continue through light rain. If the fields are unplayable or heavy rain is keeping us from practicing, then we might delay to that afternoon. If we need to cancel and/or cut short the session, we will make up as much of the lost time throughout the remaining part of the week as possible.
Who is my child grouped with?
To allow you to make carpool arrangements and/or if you have any group change requests, we will have listed the current group rosters by the first day of camp. Please feel free and contact me via email with any requests. I want all our players to feel comfortable in their groupings.
