4vs4 Summer League, Boys & Girls, Grades 1-3
Recommended by SCOR
Participants receive a Program T-shirt. Players will be introduced to one ball skill every week at the beginning of each session and encouraged to experiment freely during games. Games will be played in a 4vs4 format with 20 minute quarters. Attending pro coaches will supervise and provide minimal instruction. Our hope is that the players enjoy the real game of soccer in it's most natural and fun form. Small-sided games have been part of our soccer history in the United States for generations. Many of our parents, our grandparents and our great grandparents immigrated to America having played this wonderful game in the streets of their native countries.
In the past it was not uncommon for small-sided games to be played in the streets and in vacant lots. Now the streets are too busy and the vacant lot is too dangerous or no longer exists. Thus, it has become the responsibility of the soccer club or youth organization to recreate the small-sided environment. |

SCOR/TES Summer Youth Camps, Boys & Girls, Grades K-Rising 8
Recommended by SCOR
The curriculum and the intensity of the Program demand that all players are familiar and are able to compete within either the Academy execution or Travel 'Competitive' environments. This camp is about scoring goals! Learning the attacking skills necessary to give your self and your team an edge. Allowing the player to learn from mistakes by giving positive feedback, demonstrations and many opportunities to to take 1000 shots. Team Excel Soccer Camp is focused on finishing of all types. Power & placement shooting, headers, volleys, toe pokes, combination play to create space, penalty kicks, corner kicks and more! We focus on technical preparation and then apply it to a tactical situation. Creating a functional training environment that recreates the pressure of the game. Scoring goals is the final element to a game with many elements. Chances are rare and it is the player that can take those precious chances and put the ball in the net that can make a difference in a game.
A week at Team Excel Soccer Camp is a week of confidence building and success at proper execution when shooting at goal. Every player can score hundreds of goals. Every player gains a new sense of what is possible. Although some themes of development are similar from week to week we use different exercises to express our objectives so that the players participating at more than 1 camp will not get bored. All participants will receive a ball, T-shirt & shorts (additional camp T-shirts can be purchased on site at $10 each. |

TES Goalkeeper Clinic
The majority of goalkeepers spend most of their practice time standing in goal with orders to stop all shots. Obviously that is not sufficient training for the player who is possibly the most important one on the team. The goalkeeper is a specialist and will be coached as such.
The Team Excel Soccer coaching staff will include warm-ups, teaching progressions and game-like scenario exercises to improve the individual's goalkeeping technical and mechanical abilities. Player to coach ratio will not exceed 10:1. All participants are expected to bring goalkeeper gloves, an appropriate size ball, filled water bottle and a willingness to learn from the best! |
